This Cookie Policy explains how Estatz uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our platform. We keep our use of cookies minimal and transparent.
2. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how you use the service.
3. Cookies We Use
Essential cookies (required): estatz.session_token authenticates your login session. It expires after 7 days of inactivity. This cookie is required for the platform to function and cannot be disabled. estatz-onboarded records that your account has finished setup, so the app can skip a check on each page load. It expires after one hour, carries no personal data, and is cleared when you sign in or out.These are the only cookies Estatz sets on your device. Third-party cookies: Stripe may set cookies on its own domain (stripe.com) when processing payments. These cookies are managed by Stripe and are used for fraud prevention and payment security. Estatz does not control these cookies.
4. Analytics Without Cookies
We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how brokers use Estatz so we can improve the experience. PostHog is configured to run entirely in memory - it does not set any cookies on your device, does not use localStorage, and does not track you across other websites. Analytics data is associated with anonymous session identifiers, not persistent device identifiers.
5. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling the essential session cookie will prevent you from logging into Estatz. Since we do not set any analytics or marketing cookies, there is nothing additional to opt out of. The two essential cookies described above are the only cookies we set. Estatz also keeps a small amount of data in your browser's local storage - your interface preferences (such as whether the sidebar is collapsed) and a cached copy of the workspace data already on screen, so pages reopen instantly. That data stays on your device, is never sent anywhere as a tracking signal, and is cleared when you sign out. You can remove it at any time by clearing site data for this domain.
